Minutes for the chili dinner fund raiser

Meeting Date: November 16th

Submitted by: Jen Saletel

Thank you to those who could make it to the meeting. Here is an update on what we talked about for those who were there in spirit!
1) Menu chili and chicken noodle soup

Ÿ         Tina called ULF and the cost to feed chicken noodle soup for 100 was $105. Our thoughts were that this was higher than we had hoped. She and Catherine Loeb were looking into making it ourselves. It was decided that if there was little difference in cost, it would be more convenient to buy it.
Ÿ         Joy and I found a recipe and I tried it. Good news, it tasted like chili! I think it will work out fine.
Ÿ         Ingredients for chili are pouring in. I think asking parent to help with this is a great success.
Ÿ         I have a call into B&B about Hamburger. I am hoping we can get a deal.

2) Cost

Ÿ         Adults 5 dollars.
Ÿ         Kids ages 4-10 3 dollars.
Ÿ         3 and under free.
Ÿ         Possible tip jar

3) Craft/ ornament

Ÿ         Norlene and Heidi have come up with some great low cost crafts.
Ÿ         Youth group will be helping the kids.

4) Pictures with Santa

Ÿ         We Have a Santa!!! Thanks to Randy Longseth , he has agreed to be jolly old St. Nick. He will be there at 4:30 and I will have the suit.
Ÿ         Joy has agreed to be “Santas helper” ! She will be helping organize the Christmas scene and assist the photographer during the picture taking Thanks Joy!!
Ÿ         We still need to find a big chair for Santa to sit in. If anyone has this or has any ideas please let Joy know.

*UPDATE*
Alan Johnson photography will provide a background but we will still need to make the Christmas scene.

 Flyers

Ÿ         Tins has kindly agreed to help with a flyer. We plan to put it in our bulletin. Norlene is looking into getting into St. Francis. I would love to see about getting it into other area church bulletins. If anyone would like to take this on it would be greatly appreciated. I can get you the info if you would find out who we can send it to and where. I know our info needs to be in by Tues. so I am sure others it would be the same. If we do this, it would have to be very soon.
