Parent Letter 5-10-10
May 10, 2010
Dear Parents:
In the liturgy this weekend Jesus spoke of His one special rule. Love one another. This week, we celebrate the Ascension of our Lord. Before Jesus left the world to go back to His Father, He gave us a wonderful surprise. He promised to send the Holy Spirit. The Spirit reminds us of everything Jesus told us. “Do not be afraid or sad,” Jesus said. “Peace is my gift to you.” What is peace – we are peaceful when we try to help other people, when we share, and when we care about each other. This brings us the peace of Jesus.
Bishop Sirba was impressed with our children and expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support and efforts the entire school community is making to ensure the best faith-based education for our children. The Mass and classroom visits were wonderful – I am very proud of our children.
Steve Stracek is graciously coordinating the carnival. We will need many volunteers to help with games etc. I will be calling within the next week and if possible please give some of your time.
We are coming closer to the end of the year and with the end of the year we have lots to do, children need to continue learning, classes will be going on field trips, budgets need to be projected, changes will take place, classrooms need to be packed (hopefully) we will be up stairs by the end of August. All of this must be done with trust, love, and respect for one another. I am very proud of Queen of Peace School and believe we have a school with great potential as we move into the future. I am counting on all of you to work and support me in all that needs to be accomplished. Thank you!
